Q. the way beef is cooked

Salams to all brothers and sisters here..

Salam Ramadhan to all..

I have a question here.. Is it true that muslims cannot eat beef that was cooked "medium"? In restaurants, they will asked whether you want your meat to be cooked regular, medium or well-done.. I came across someone told me that we can't eat meat serves as regular or medium as the meat is still red and we can still see the blood.. We can only eat it if its serve as well-done where the meat is well-cooked.. Is it true?

Assalamualaikum
Best wishes to you and all brothers and sisters in this blessed month of Ramadan.

To my knowledge the redness of the meat just shows the degree to which the meat has been cooked. If the beef has been slaughtered the halal way, then there is no blood present in the meat. It is just the meat's natural colour.

There is a reason why beef and mutton are known as red meat. It's naturally red in colour, even after the blood has been drained out from the goat or cow in the slaughtering process. Naturally the red colour will show even when it is cooked.

And Allah knows best.
