try this:

BEEF OR TURKEY GRAVY

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups beef broth, * see note
1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon pepper, or to taste

Melt butter in a saucepan then add flour. Blend together until no lumps are visible. Add salt and pepper. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5-10 minutes or until mixture starts to brown. Turn heat to low and slowly add broth, stirring constantly. Turn heat back up to medium and continue cooking and stirring until gravy boils and thickens. Adjust seasonings to taste.

Serving Size: 1

Hey Sultana,

try this... ; )

BASIC GRAVY OR SAUCE
3 tbsp. pan drippings or fat (butter, oil or butter)
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. liquid (chicken or beef broth, milk or water)
Salt and pepper

Remove meat or poultry from pan and pour off all but 3 tablespoons drippings. Blend in flour; stir to loosen brown particles. Cook to desired color. Add liquid. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Makes 2 cups.
