Certain causes can lead to divorce:

- lack of trust and understanding in each other
- extreme jealousy
- problems with in-laws
- childless
- lack of love
- money problems
- lack of helping or supporting each other in daily chores
- having an affair with another person

and many more ....... the list is endless. The most important thing is to love and understand each other in good times and bad times.

Lack of religious knowledge. Do you know that the session before the marriage gets solomnised is the most important session. It talks about the responsibilities of both the men & women before they finalise the event. We tend to take this lightly & hence the consequences.

I tink it's 'marrying for the wrong reason in the first place'.
If u're talking abt muslim divorces, lots of muslims in S'pore marry for the wrong reasons to start with. For example, consider this scenario:

Muslim boy dates muslim gal. Parents not happy because they think 'it's not sweet' for the couple to be seen with each other when they're not married to each other. PArents decide to get them married 'to avoid gossip', when in fact, the couple may not b fully ready for marriage. Eventually, the marriages fail.

Lack of communication.

Lack of sex.

Or just the fact that people are too hasty to sign that contract and end up with an agreement that they wish they hadn't made.
