I am very concern of insurance because I dun want any hibah(interest) or my money being used in non-islamic investment.
Can anybody help me?

Salaam to all,

If you wanna gain popularity and increase your business in your field you need to share your knowledge don't be stingy about it!
ok i suppose insurance are ok for muslims as long as it covers only the medical expenses, taking into consideration of the high medical costs in Singapore.
As insurance covers death, i dont think we can buy those insurance plans as death is predestined by Allah. We are not allowed to benefit from that.
Unless its needed by companies or by the CPF, then its ok cos its not up to us since we are the minority.
i hope this answer helps. :)
Think about this, the money left behind for the death insurance is not for you!
Its meant for your love ones. Imagine if you leave the world early and you spouse or kids are still small, wouldn't that money be useful for them?
Furthermore you can also will your money to be zakatable meaning it is given to a trustee and that money is being invested to support the maintainence of mosques or the poor people.
I hope you guys go and talk to proper insurance people about this. Don't just talk about when you are living - accidents and long term illness only. Talk about when you are not around anymore and the scenarios that may come.
