by the way, I got a lot of good info about nasi briyani in this Question:
http://www.nasibriyanilounge.c...
Apparently Zeenath Briyani Corner at Bedok North Food Centre is very good. Stall run by a Mr. Jalaluddin
check out:
http://zeenathbriyani.blogspot.../
Bedok North Street 1, BLK 216
Market and Food Centre
#01-16
This person also quotes a place where the briyani is supposed to be reputed the best:
http://expatbrian.wordpress.co.../
Not sure stall or exact place, but somewhere near
293 Jalan Kayu.
Yishun/Sembawang
Henderson Hawker Centre has a decent Briyani stall on east side, second stall in from the parking lot. But I have found that the stall near the Victoria street side of the 24 hour coffee shop at Bras Basah Complex is very good at $3.50. I get mutton and it is always boneless which is good.

Being a cook myself for some 23 years, I have little respect for other biryanis in Singapore. I classify everything else as colored rice or chicken/mutton curry. Bismillah's dum biryani is 100% authentic. It tastes the way all biryani should. It is not just the best in Singapore but I actually put it as one of the best I have had anywhere in the world, including India. This place is for serious biryani lovers. I hope it doesn't go away the same way as other good old biryanis of Singapore did over the years. Try it and you would know what I mean.

The chicken is really soft and silky and a bit crunchy which gives immense taste and delightful feeling as it melts into your mouth and you can easily access to every flesh with the spoon and without any hassle. You will enjoy every bit of the biryani at this place. To be eaten Hot !! Enjoy

The dinner was served at 11 pm, as the immediate family was looking after guest, we did not even taste the biryani that night, the left over was keep in the fridge. To our horror the next morning when we took out the Biryani it was rotting and had fungus! Well just for your knowlege our refrigerator works just fine!! Quite evident that this Biryani served and delivered to us was stale and made in extreme un higenic conditions!! So please be care ful before ordering from this place.

Being a biryani afficianado and since I cook too, I would say that the best Hyderabadi biryanis, as they are ubiquitious in Singapore, would be at the Rang Mahal, Blue Diamond across the street from Tekka Market, Shakuntala Restaurant, and Khansama Restaurant (Bombay Biryani) at Norris Road. They're still a far cry from the real stuff in some places India, where its made with real saffron and not food colouring, and cooked in earthen pots with charcoal.
I tried Biryani Hut but found it just ok, nothing too extraordinary.

there is also the sindhi biryani. The rice is prepared with prunes or mango powder, etc to give it a sourish bite, and is aromatic with a mint and coriander garnish.
Best Bryani in town !!!
Guys do check out the latest outlet in town- "Spice & everything nice" (name also very chim!!!) which sells really good Indian food at very afforable price.
I am not kidding- the mutton and chicken bryani are one of a kind, really mouth-watering good and oozing with great taste and aroma. The food portion too is quite generous, and well presented in surprisingly classy looking black plates.
Their prata is really soft and goes very well with their signature mutton curry, which is not so spicy but very rich and flavorful. Apparently, I was told that the secret to their wonderfully soft prata is that the dough is handmade, unlike in most other Indian shops which tend to use factory-supplied dough.
My girlfriend had tried their mee hoon goreng and she swore that it was the best she had ever tasted - it was full of ingredients & surprisingly, there were even small cuts of french fries in the mee hoon, and the combination apparently tasted good!
The next time I go, I plan to try their mutton murtabak that my uncle had vouched for as really "power".
Don't take our word for it - do check out the place yourself. It's called Spice & Everything Nice at Blk 237, Serangoon Ave 3.
Best biryani in singapore is at Bokhara Biryani and Kebab at 749 North Bridge Road, Near Masjid Sultan, Corner of North Bridge Rd and Jln Kledek. Don't miss to try this real dum biryani in singapore. Try their reshmi kebab and mango lassi also. Very nice. call 83997795 for delivery and catering. I went their after reading review in The New Paper and Tabla magazine. It is really very nice. The best dum biryani in Singapore

It is also 'halal' and served mutton, chicken and fish biryanis. The taste is really superb, comes with a dalcha and has that important biryani aroma. I think it only serve one type of biryani a day and normally would finish by 3-4pm.
My family and friends love it.
