Hmm, well I'm not sure if any top European cuisine makes halal alternatives to Singaporean Muslims in the first place. Unless there is, the public would have known.

First of all, we need to get the European Muslims to open restaurants in Singapore. Burgers and sausages are usually given to either the fast foods or places like Swensons, and Breeks, or other places like Pizza Huts. Coffee Bean is an outlet for Muslims.

Halal branding is picking up slowly in Singapore, so the choice of food is slowly making the expanding the variety to the Muslims.

You might try Zac Meat. They provide cured meat which are halal-certified. They don't have the fancy, too foreign-sounding ones like biltong and boerewors, but they do provide sliced pepperoni, poloni, meatloaf, chicken & turkey ham, also sausages etc. Better than nothing.

Since I live in Tampines, I get my stuff here:

1. There's a halal meat section at the Giant Supermarket building (next to Ikea and Courts, in between Pasir Ris and Tampines) at Tampines North Drive 2, where all the processed meat are prepacked in Zac Meat packets.

2. The NTUC Fairprice Supermarket at Tampines Mall also has a vendor from Zac Meat that will pack for you the meats that you choose. Turn right from the entrance, behind all those fruits and vegetables.

The above supermarkets also sell pre-marinated steaks and wings. Hope this helps.

As-Salamu Allaykum,
I pray this finds all well with yourself.

Don't know about Singapore; However; if you are prepared to pay for postage/freight - there are places here in Australia that provide these products [lotsa ZAfricans here !!].

Maybe you could start supplying it there [import] ?!

Drop myself a line if you want addresses [don't have them handy just at the moment] - alifs1@hotmail.com

Kind Regards,
Aleef
