Salam,
I have seen many Muslims buying from this bakery.
I have looked around the premise to see if there is any HALAL certificate, but could not find one.
I am perplexed how come they have many Muslim customers?
Do the Malay/ Muslim customers know something that I don't ? Or they just do not care ?
Maybe because the name of the Bakery sounds Malay-ish? I don't know about this and I haven't been there myself. Let's just hope that it is halal, even though they don't have the official halal certificate by MUIS.
Sometimes it's disappointing to see how some of our muslim society overlook this serious matter. For example, 'Bengawan Solo' is not halal, yet many muslims buy food there because to them, they're only selling biscuits/cakes/breads...so why worry too much?
Not sure? I never bought there myself. As for the Muslims, well... there are maaaaaany "types" of Muslims today :) Their intention speaks for themselves :)
salam
i dun understand why is the dwelling into the food is halal or non halal.
Allah (swt) create bounties of food for us and its up to ur research of all types of foods to determine whether it is clean to consume.
Anyway, MUIS also dont have science laboratories to test all foods that they certified halal.
Here goes AhXuan,
to my knowledge there is this saying "you are what u eat".
In Islam the things we do daily such as eating healthy, being kind and smiling are small things that make us a good Muslim.
Y Halal... ?
1. They meet the criteria of the Quran.
2. They are for the purity ond clean for our body...
Eg: There was once an ustaz who says that minor things like; not being careful of what we eat, doing makruh things like sniffing something smelly on purpose imposes small tiny black dots in our hearts that make our connection to God fuzzy...
just imagine an internet/phone connection that has poor quality... it buzzes right?
yeah so these little things that we think are little are also deeds that make us closer to him. and these things brings us more dividends and ultimately makes it easier to connect to Him.
SO .. what u eat... it does affect your iman.
Just like smoking for example.
I hope i helped.
Cheers.
Wa'llahu'alam
Just adding to the post.. yes i have seen many people there... it is sad...in fact there is a lady who puts on a veil and is working there... there are halal stamps on their food labels but i assume they can cut and paste before printing... its best to have a HALAL cert from MUIS itself.
Nauzubillah.
Ah Xuan, you are suggesting everyone to do their own research ?
We already have a system administered by MUIS.
We Muslims need to support it, otherwise Non-Muslims will have the last laugh.
