Salam alaik,

May you be bless with good health and iman, insyallah.

First of all i would like to give my highest gratitude for you being brave to make a change to be a better muslim.

I was like you before, honestly i am an Ex-Prisoner. I was then send to mcys to go thru probation. At that time it was hard as many friends and even the community around me look down on me. I was rather pissed off but i always tell myself, not them to judge or look on my bright side but Allah swt who judge our path and also give us the gudiance. Just ignore and put that critics as a positive remarks. Smile to them on thier remarks. One day they would look up to a person like you who is a good muslim.

Now i am working in Assyafaah Mosque as a Youth Development Officer cum IT Officer. I dun have the certificate to do what i want as an IT Officer but here is a start for me. Now i was given a chance to persue my studies in MDIS on Diploma in IT. May allah always guide you and show you the right path. Most importantly don't give up!

If you have any queries you can always find me here or email me kotakputih@assyafaah.mosque.org.sg or even direct call @ +6592405702.

Regards,
WhiteBox

Assalamualaikum to both Maya and Whitebox.
Congratulation to both of you for your aourage and determination change your path.
It's never easy to change for the better and usually the things that really make it difficutlt is the society.
Always bear in mind that NOBODY in this world is perfect. We are NO angles or Prophet. We are only HUMAN.
Just believe in yourself and never let other people decide for you.
It's human nature to always judge a person with bad past as
a nuisance and that they will never change.Just prove them wrong and do the things that is right. With Allah's guidance, you will always achive happiness and sucess in life.
Insyaallah.

assalamualaikum.
some times, your friends do not like u to be a better muslim. if you are better, maybe u will tend to go to the mosque frerquently(they think). u may think that u r a better muslim, but u still need to reflect on yourself. n one think ms, u can't say that u are a good muslim . at one time, ur iman is reaching at its highest point, but what do you know, it went down.
dressing plays an important part.u just have to keep looking smart and cool
you also can try to explain to them what is good abt islam.
in this way, they may understand better abt islam, n u have already da'wah abt islam.
this practices is good, but it is better if u add fifany's reply to practice.
wassalam

Salam
Thank you to everyone that has replied to my question. I have voted some of you for giving me a satisfactory reply. To Rabbit, I am glad that you pointed out things that others don't and I will keep that in mind Insyallah. Though you do claim some things that may not be true, yet these points may not be as significant as other advice that you have suggested.
To Whitebox, thank you for your willingness to help me through this endeavour. Yet, I sincerely feel that we can always exchange our ideas on matters through this designed media.
Wassalam

It is within you. If you do not let it bother you, then it will backfire on those who cast their eveil eyes on you. Allah ranks people based on their takwa which is internal and not based on the external. You are accountable to only Him so fear only Him.

Salaam everyone,

It's difficult to be a good person and maintain, I understand. I, myself in life, had difficulties when trying to be good person, whether in studies, work, friends and also religion. The holy quran has long predicted the human difficulties in his prophets and believers.

Based on Al-Baqarah 2:199
"Then depart from the place from where [all] the people depart and ask forgiveness of Allâh. Indeed, Allâh is Forgiving and Merciful"
and in the same chapter verse 2:268
"Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allâh promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allâh is all-Encompassing and Knowing".
Also in Al-Imran 3:3
"The patient, the true, the obedient, those who spend [in the way of Allâh], and those who seek forgiveness before dawn."

I'm sure there are supportive people around those who wanted a good change. I had many support from my family, and friens, muslim and non-muslim alike... :) Be strong and positive okey ?
