I'm not quite conversant with the difference in Islamic culture in India to ours in Singapore. I do know that in India, a muslim can marry a hindu. Nikha procedure is not much a difference ,except cultural proceedings and the registrar procedure in Singapore (ROMM) or our muslim body representative MUIS.
If you're not the PR, but in social visit, probably you can try to contact any indian islamic community in Singapore. The closest website is www.littleindia.com.sg. Not the exact you're looking for, but it's a start.

unfortunately, This is not a dating website. I'm sure you can find a nice Indian muslim girl in India. Singapore girls are very demanding. I'm married to an indian and our value system is different especially what we espect from our husband to be.
There are many more differences which needs huge sacrifices. Which effect how you may generally deal with your family members in India. So yea..loads of unnecessary tension. I know Indian mums has a strong hold on her child, especially if it's a son so yea...big dramas. I'm not for big dramas. So yea choice is yours.

13/11/2007 10:57:40 AMOh also in terms of culture differences after the Nikah the man generally stays with the girl side. Not the other way round. Or they find their own house to stay. (without the in-laws)
The man also gives the dowry (mahr) to the girl. We also have the hantaran which is the wedding expenses. The guy gives to the girl (cash and other gifts) as negotiated between them. the guy do not get back the money if this marriage expenses was not finished.

your some think is so good but mostly is sure wrong like when any body marry in singapore he live with girl side faimly its wrong because when any body will marry on ourself responsibility,,,,,
When i telling that i want to marry with malay muslim girl so definitely i have capacity for do hard to hard work for my own family who will be in future & can do any thing for my family got it...
As you told one thing that a lot boy in india like his mother or faimly so now i remember you that any body can pay any work who parents with son ok......
son need that time to time give rights to every fellow when related fellow wants.....
one thing more as you know India is have a many cultural religions & a lot happiness together....
but if any body want that indian muslim culture & malay muslim culture both live together so I think it will be more better in future.
so pls be cool mind & reply my thorts......& some your think is so good but mostly like that...........

20/03/2008 3:48:50 PMhi i really don't like the concept of chinese converting to muslim. you know it is very unfair to me and my family and the people around me! god won't force a person to join that religion just to have internal life. I DONT BELIEVE!! for me god is very fair to everyone of us. i really love thiis muslim guy and we have been together for 4 years++ please don't use it in a muslim concept of view because it is unfair. i am a free twinkle and i am not biased against any religion. but for me i am being selfish to the people around me! because if really something is going to happen in future they will use the muslim law and control me. if you believe in allah is all in your heart you don have to convert to tell people that you believe!! please can muslim think out of the box! from small you are being brain washed! is not that your religion is not good i did study alot about muslim but for the converting part is really an unfair thing. please judge accordingly.
