Q. How to Plan a wedding with a tight budget?

I will be getting married end of this year. Insya allah.

And has to start with the planning now.
But the thing is, I do not know where to start off from.

I am on a tight budget as I am also a part time student with an edu loan to juggle each month.
Any recommendations on a:
1) caterer for a dinner of 300pax
2) deco for my dias etc at the void deck

Thanks.

Unfortunately non of the wedding business here would wanna put in the cost of their packages. I'm not sure why they don't do such a thing which will make it a lot easier for consumer like us. And it will make the transection alot transparent.

Perhaps you need to post a question asking wedding retailers/ vendors to responde if they fit to your budget.

1) You can say that your budget is (insert how much is your budget) and wedding business can respond to your question only if they can offer you something within your budget for 300 ppl.

Example of Question.."

Can wedding retails/ business please reply if you have any packages that fits my budget below.

Dinner:
Budget $1000 for 300pl ( im just making the budget up)

Deco :
budget $500. ( im just making the budget up)

2) You can try searching on other question withing the wedding topic. There are some sugestions and retailers there you might wanna call up.

All the best.

Hi,
to tell u frankly i will be getting married this 29/03. and i just start planning 4 months back. i'd prepare almost 80% of it. and the main thing is that, my mum came out with the catering thing so it lift my burden. and also im asking for sponsor from my closest relative, so far i'd henna, kompang, car, wedding cake, some of gubahan hantaran sponsored. im also on a tight budget so with the help of my lovely relative it help me alot. so the main point is that try asking ur mum if she will help with the catering and if u are the open minded type like me just ask around ( in a joking way at first, ha ha ha) if they want to do something for u. even though some people are shy, hey, theres no harm trying. artist are sponsored, y not us, ha ha ha.

hi,

thanks for the reply. The thing is I come from a single parent family and now my mum is not working. hence I cant burden her with my marriage.
But what i got was sponsors for my weddin cake, -my sis and my kad jemputan.
But for the rest I have to fork out myself.
Intend to use my hantaran money for that.
But when I see the market prices now, it's just unbelievable.
Don't mind me asking, which caterer will you be using?

Anyway, congrats on the upcoming wedding. I'm sure it's pretty exciting right now! =)

Hi Fisyah...
I think you should need help in further discussions on your weddings event. First of all, you don't need to spend so much on your weeding as you still need to think of your further like, studies and building up your family as in start a new with your beloved husband....

Skip the dais, if you are on a tight budget. It is not encourage in Islam anyway.
Just have a long table decorated, for the makan.
