Q. Words in the Invitation Cards - RSVP

Salam,

We'll be having a small wedding in a hotel this year. We're preparing for the wedding invites but we are not sure how the wordings in the card should be.

We want the guests to RSVP their attendance but we have no idea how to put it across in bahasa melayu. Also for my distant relatives, only inviting the husband and wife.

Could anyone help us with the wording.

Thanks!!

W'salaam,

Congratulation on your upcoming wedding.

That is interesting.

Have a look at these 2 links for starters. That will give you some example of how to word rsvp in english and also some tips on how to avoid people assuming that you are inviting the whole family (like what you have mentioned above).

After you are confortable with the english version, i'm sure you will be able to translate the words in Malay. Use google translator if you don't have an English-Malay translator.
