Polygamy in Islam
Hmm..needs someone already in experienced in polygamy life to answer this haha :)
In the Quran, this problem has already been raised
"Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."
(4:129) (An-Nisa [Women])
I'm not married though, but I guess the husband has to be kind of diplomatic, committed and patient, in committing and fulfilling his duty and time as a husband. In this century and society we're living, it's not easy but not impossible of course :)
well,
i do have two wives.
there are jealousies in the families.
it is hard for a man to have two wives but nothing impossible.
first thing first, we must be muslims otheriwise we will lose, all we had.
that's all.
True. By the way im4n0v, what is your opinion on the practise of polygamy today? Is it still an able/practical factor to the society and how people view on such issues today to polygamy marriage, for example people around you?
Please don't take my posy negatively, and I apologize if I'm so. It's just rare about polygamy these days, and all of us muslims and non-muslims are willing to hear to share with you on this issue
. Hope you can share some common opinions and experiences around you in polygamy life. This helps to improve the accurate or correct perception of polygamy side of belief in Islam, from practical and real- life point of view. There are too many negative theories or perceptions on polygamy especially in the western media, so hope you can help the nasibriyanilounge.com to share with us on the subject of polygamy :)
