I'ld like to know from fellow loungers how they have managed to travel on SBS buses and MRT with their babies in prams.
Do you have to fold-up the pram all the time before getting on these busses and trains? What about during pick hour?
First of all, get the lightweight version. Some of the new buses have wide passageway and lower floor, so you can lift the pram onto the bus and push it to the middle area.
The older buses are not pram friendly. You have to fold-up the pram, otherwise it will block the passageway.
All MRT stations are equipped with lifts now, so there is no issue. You can easily push the prams from the lifts into the train and vice versa.
Thanks z,
Oh if i have to fold the pram in some of the older busses, that is not good because i'd have to wake my baby up from his sleep.
Do you find yourself doing that as well, waking your baby up to fold your pram?
Other parents here care to share their pram experiences?
Isn't i the same where you come from?
Well you can alway take the MRT. You dont have to fold the Pram there

To answer your question. No i don't have to fold my pram here.
I would appreciate if members can focus on answering to my question rather than drifting off to discussions or chit chatting. This isn't a forum after all.
I have noticed this happening a lot thought this site although the community guidelines says that this isn't encouraged.
Please keep it clean and informative.
Salaam,
In Spore, hardly or seldom we see parents bring along prams into the public transport.
We all know they occupy so much space, during peak hours we will have difficulty getting on board especially weekends even if the busses are equipped for prams, trolleys or wheelchair.
Unless if it's not peak hours or weekends perhaps we can use prams at our own time and comfort.
To my observation, Singaporean parents who patronize the public transport rather take the full initiative to carry their little toddlers if they are asleep and most parents will only bring prams if they have their own transportation.
Im not a parent myself, BUT i always go out with my little nieces and nephews.... but i dont bring along pram, if they want to sleep, i will be their pram. Because I know that being a Singaporean, you have to be considerate to the others as well since it is my own conscious decision to bring the kids out.
Patrons of public transport will definitely be courteous enough to lend me their seats seeing me carrying a child who's soundly asleep on my shoulder.
That is how i move around in public transport with a toddler but without a pram.
Singapore is all about kind, courteous and considerate.
Hope this helps!
Jazza Kalla hu Khair!
Wasalaam.

i myself havet the same problem.
even when my sttroller of a smaller version, some bus driver told me i cant bring my pram in the bus. Mind you, i was boarding the bus for the wheelchair bound passenger. The middle area is big enough for my pram and for others to stand as well.
I ended up with putting up with a cant-be-bothered face and just bring my pram up the bus.
I mean, why are we deprive from taking the bus if we are not posing any inconvenience to other passengers. Why aunties or uncles can bring their market trolley full of fishes n vegetables up in the bus... and we can't?
Also, my stroller... is the same size as the market trolley. Bought it at West Mall, where it can be converted into a bag-pack style. But due to my son on a heavier scale, i no longer strong to carry him on my shoulders.
For me, i will wait for the bus driver to really get on my nerve then i shall make a complain. For the time being, i still board the bus with my stroller.
