My friend, who is not local (from Mauritius) is getting married to a non-local guy (European) in Singapore. They are both muslim, but they don't know any muslims here who woud agree to be a witness on their nikah....
What would you advise? She asked me for help, as my boyfriend is muslim, but we will be away during their nikah, so my boyfriend can't assist them.
Any other suggestions about where to get witnesess? Is it possible to ask for witnesses in ROMM? But the point is that in order to book the nikah date she needs to provide witnesses names and IC in advance...
Please, help!
yes..the ROMM will help for foreigner who is muslim and no one to turn to.After all,muslims should help each other in the name of religion..U can ask your friend to enquiry.Insya'allah everthing will be ok..

Recently, I attended a friend's nikah, in Johor and they do provide witnesses for those who do not have. The same should apply here.
