Attending other religious wedding ceremonies

Is it forbidden for a muslim to attend religious wedding ceremonies in say, a church or hindu temple?

It is not forbidden as long as you dont perform THEIR religious rites. Personally i've been to a church wedding and i look forward to going to other weddings in temple, synagogue, etc. It's a good experience.

All of us are creations of Allah. We do not approve of what they do but we need to co-exist. If the intent is to attend the function, then that should be fine. But remember that the Satan is lurking and you cannot afford to let your defence down. Be careful always and ask Allah to protect you.

IMO, worrying about the infidelity of faith is pretty much self-centered and narrow when there is really no intention in the invitation except to share part of the happiness and joy in the marriage ceremony.
