Q. Wudhu' without running water (taps)

Has anyone come across a "textbook method" of performing wudhu' without running water (taps)?. Rasulullah SAW used to take a bath with one Saor up to five Mudds of water and used to perform ablution with one Mudd (approx 750ml) of water (Al-Bukhari).

Singapore is a country which, water is bought. Although there's NEWater at the moment, our main source is still the pipes from West Malaysia. I've seen from YouTube Muslims from other countries performing the wudhu' from a bucket (i.e. dip your arm in the bucket once, take it out and rub the water evenly). So the water from the bucket is re-used. But immediately after that, I've seen lots of comments negative or positive.

So if anyone has come across a sahih hadith or fatwa on this, would be grateful if he/she could enlighten us. Thank you.

I read somewhere, one ustaz suggesting using bottle spray.
It make sense, if you think about it.
Even half a litre would be able to complete the wudhu.
I think we need to be creative to overcome some of our problems, other than relying on traditions.

1 mud is rounghly less than 500ml of water. cupping the water in your hand and spreading it allows the water to flow, i've tried with 1 mud and it is possible to complete your wudu
