Q. Non-Muslims prayer answered/unanswered?

Not really expecting a fatwa, but just a view from normal people, on whether a non-Muslim prayers are unanswered even though they are not Muslim?

For example a non-Muslim performing his prayers similar like a Muslim, or a non-Muslim sincerely praying to God even his/her intentions are only for Him and good intentions?

Salam,

hehehe~ It seems like I have nothing much better to do than to sit in front of my laptop answering qns... Well, pardon me but it's just bored here as it's vacation and I just feel unmotivated to study~

So, here it is~

I have thought about the topic when I reverted actually... It's a nice reflection really~

In short, selective prayers of non-muslims will be answered no matter what their intention is... because this is a BIG test from God for the non-muslim...

In precise explanation...

Everyone is a born muslim but it's the family and culture that make us a specific group of race and religion~ Well, it's something which we have no control of, really~ But God, AL-RAZZAQ, is always there to provide for us~ Well, that's one of his 99 wonderful names, isn't it?

Being a non-muslim before, I prayed and asked for guidance (Only at times of emergency..hee~) And sometimes, it was given~

It's just a test from God to those non-muslim~ You know, it's like He'll give and make anyone's life a great one... But are people going to reflect and open their mind/heart to Him~

Well, I guess not everyone is as fortunate and loved by Him that I am guided on the right path~

hee~ Thanks for posting questions and allowing me to pass time... =D

Oh, forgot to add...

All prayers will be answered by God, but it's just a matter of time and situation~

What we think is good for us, might be bad... What is bad for us might be good~ He knows what we do not know... =)

Keep praying and leave the rest to Him to guide us~ hee~

From Surah Qaf verse 16: And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.

And from Wikipedia page on Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam i quote: "In 1976 Stevens nearly drowned off the coast of Malibu, California and claims to have shouted: “Oh God! If you save me I will work for you.” He says that right afterward a wave appeared and carried him back to shore."

So if "prayer" is interpreted as doa/du'a/supplication then Insya-Allah it will especially if the Nawaitu is appropriate. But if "prayer" is interpreted as "how to pray" or solat etc then prostration/sujud is the only form of prayer accepted in the eyes of Allah SWT. It's the physical act of "submission" to the will of God Almighty.

There are good people out there too who may not be Muslims yet. We pray that they get Guidance as well. When these people ask, their prayers do get answered. However, they benefit only in this world. We as Muslims are looking for the hereafter, which is forever. Even though our prayers may not be answered in this world, it could be answered in the Hereafter, Insya Allah.
