My son wants to know which would be better for him, joining the band, joining NPCC (National Police Cadet Corps) or NCC ( National Cadet Corps.

Hmm..i was from NPCC once in my secondary school. Not as physically demanding as the NCC. But then, there are more benefits in in NCC as you deal with some military gadjets or toys. NPCC is fairly goes towards community involvement besides physcial training and drills so it's good if you're not expecting much physical in your CCA.

Anyway, I remember not enjoying my stay in NPCC as there were so few malays were in the group. Kinda feel left out, even though other chinese colleagues are helpful and nice to me. Nothing racist of course, i guess maybe cause there were more stuff and games to and play beside 'playing police' in the school that time :)

Well, I can still remember when my son had to decide whether to go for NPCC or NCC or the school band during his school. In the end, he opted for NPCC because he likes to play "police" when he was young. Furthermore, he was lucky to be posted to the police division during his NS days and he never regretted it ever since.
