We have been around for almost 10 years now and we have never collected a single cent from any of our members. Lately, we have been approached by several financially distressed converts and it is bothering us that we are not in a position to help. We have come to a point whether to raise funds and channel this to help such people. We recently started the Nasi Biryani Ammal and are thinking about membership fees. Is this a good idea and if so, what should the recommended fees be like ?

Is there a possibility that we could work alongside mosque organizations or reputable Islamic groups. I think getting funds is an issue that need to be raised public strong.
In these hard times, it is unavoidable that general public are more reserved about giving xtra.
By the way, the converts I guess are coming are particular backgrounds or foreigners?
All walks of life. We have Chinese, Germans, Hindus, Catholics both from the blue collar and white collar jobs.
