No not that i know of.

most gals i know just swim in the sea. with their hijab and some don't wear the hijab when they swim. (but covering everything else)

or you can try this swimwear for muslim women. its called the burkini or burqini. Not sure if any gals have worn it.

There is a swimming pool for muslimah in Madrasah Al-Arabiah Al-Islamiah at Geylang Lor 13. It's located on the top floor.

What i hear is that you need to be a member to use the facilities there and that you will have to make an appointment to use the place. Also that the place is not all that big.

For hijabi gals who dont make use of the 'muslimah' swimming pool in S'pore, they either go to the beaches or the various public swimming pools in S'pore. In the swimming pools, some hijabi girls are dressed in the normal swimming attire which may not necessarily cover most parts of their body.

Some other hijabi girls wear the type of swimming attire which cover their limbs, and also wear swimcaps. Some others wear the 'one suit' type, which means even their neck is covered (something like divers minuse the goggles and airtank).

Since the ruling at the beaches are 'more relaxed', some hijabi girls just jump into the sea wearing their casual outfits, not necessarily made of material suitable for swimming. Some also just wear bermudas or long pants with shortsleeved tshirts, or with long sleeved tshirts. Some wear swim caps, some just don't. There'e also many who wear proper swimming attire.

In Singapore, Muslim women can swim at any public swimming pools provided they put on special swimwear for Muslimahs; such as listed in the following websites:

http://www.rubyzent.com

No need for special pools or memberships.

Actually, regarding the swimming session in Muhammadiyah, it is a lot cheaper than that.

You can call Sis Masita at 62821908 for more info. They even provide swimming lessons. $50/4 lessons (for members) and $80/4 lessons (for non-members).

If you don't wish to become a member or go for the swimming lessons, then you can just go for a swim with your buddies but each person has to pay $5. You would also have to make an appointment.
