Q. Wise spending for wedding - How?

I'm planning to have a wedding in 2010 in a CC,

My reason to hold the wedding in a CC because of the space n well air-condition area. Both families can actually fit in the hall n it is spacious as well. My target spending is 15k not including hantaran, berkat and etc.

So what can i do not to overspend and the same time not spend it wastefully?

Salam to you..

ok, i think you are good in highlighting that you shouldn't waste your money while doing a wedding.

Yes, i also do agree that by making at the CCs could save some money since there will be alot of people who will be attending your wedding. It is also spacious, which also make easier for all to move around.

in my opinion, for it not to be overspend, you need to focus on what are the most important things in your wedding.

For example your food in your wedding, what variety of dishes you want to serve to the guests.

next, there is a need to survey the packages given by the caterers. maybe you want it cheap , ok . But you must also see what you were to get if you were to pay extra etc...

Test the food and also if you can get a chance, enter their kitchen so that you know their hygienes etc.

It might be a waste of money if for example the caterers might be the cheapest, but give a lousy food. to me , that is kind of overspend ....

you could also DIY some of the easy-easy things , like your wedding card.

Just pick the correct type of paper ( paper that has a scent ) and also use examples from other wedding cards to make your cards unique.

Next is your berkat ( wedding gifts ). i don't really know your preferences but you should choose an item which is popular / simple yet cheaply available. Examples could include muffins.

I don't suggest you giving vases / any other big items because many people like today will not keep these items for long.

For your deco, you could ask them how to make it simple yet elegant. making things to be simple could reduce your cost.

i think you could have the choice to rent some fake flowers, cos i think these things are cheap and they could beautify the place.

i really hope this could really answer your question and hope that you spend wisely for your wedding.
