Salaam. I am hoping if any bro/sis would share some lovely nasheed for me to put on as background music during my majlis. I am fully aware that maher zain's songs are very much being recommended, but I am not keen in seeing people grooving to a the words of Barakallahu lakuma.. I have been getting subtle hints to have dangdut songs, so they could strut some moves. I know that is not going to happen.
I am open to nasheeds of any language as long as its not being fused with any r&b/pop/dance rendition. Yes just a pure nasheed with kompang or tabla.
ya akh.. Barakallahu lakuma is a dua.. Its nothing much.. But maher zain made that up as a song.. :(

Have you tried Zain Bhikha, Ahmed bukhatir.. 'my wife' is a popular one and Abdullah Rolle (http://www.abdullahrolle.com/)
Also try Dawud Wharnsby ali.
We have Syamil songs or Ad Deen in our online store. PM me as I am not allowed to advertise here.

Jazakallah hu Khairan.
Brother Fadzuli,
hrrmm...don't those 'nasheed' have music in it ?
As i did my research on this topic about nasheed and music...i was surprised at how little i know. I didn't know about this hadith until last year, mashallah.
I'lll like to share this Hadith with everyone. maybe many may have know about it and many may not. We cannot go against the Prophet, pbuh even if the Mufti tell us otherwise.
Please ponder on this Hadith in Bukhari which is an authentic hadith.
`There will be people of my Ummah who will seek to make lawful; fornication, wine-drinking and the use of ma`aazif (musical instruments ).`
Detailed analysis of the arabic word `ma`aazif ` shows that it refers to musical instruments, the sounds of those musical instruments and singing with the accompaniment of instruments.
There are many more Hadith and Quran surahs about forbidding music but inshallah i hope that this is the start for those who want to research more into it. If we follow what Allah and the Prophet pbuh says we will be safe and prosperous.
Assalamualaikum.
