Yeah i second what crazyhighway said. I read my friend's blog regarding this matter before and I totally agreed with her as well. She said about why do the malays especially have to play love songs so loud like as if they are in a gig? Then when people wants to talk to one another, they have to literally shout in each other's ears. Not only that, these are love songs btw. Why play them? Some of these have lyrics like "I hold your hands" etc..WHich is of course against Islam. So, I would recommend people to play songs that are more musical like. SO people wont have their ear drums burst by the end of the wedding.

As a part time "dj" for malay wedding,I would usually spin songs that are the most popular among listeners. In other words, songs that you usually hear when listening to radio...Apart from that,I do have my own choice of songs and programmes for the day. Each and every one of us do have their own choice of music,So as the "DJ",I would play what is best for everyone and the sound of the speaker must not be too loud so that the guest would be comfortable to eat and talk to each other.........
