Why are wedding retailers not catering to smaller amount of guest like about 100 people?

the problem with that is that not many people does DIY even if it's a small amount.
this may be abit too late nasi briyani, but if you're referring to catering for food & beverage alone, there are many professional halal caterers who will cater for 100 pax because most of them have a minimum of 30 pax for a normal event. Why not 100 pax then ?
Visit www.cateringonline.sg for professional halal caterers and if you have difficulty locating one.

hi nasibriyani,
i was given a pretty frank and comprehensive explanation by a lady from a very well-established catering/deco company at a wedding expo on 17 Jan 09. she spent about half an hour telling my partner and me why it is a ridiculous idea for malay wedding caterers to cater for small functions (e.g. fixed costs are still there, don't earn much, too much trouble for too little money). and all i asked was whether they cater for smaller functions of about 200-300 pax. and their dinner menu for 200pax is 20+/head. so a friend advised that the best bet is to go for caterers like rasel/kck/cjs that do small functions as well. oh, and hajah maimunah does catering for small functions too! *clap*clap*
Salaam all,
