Hmm..you tried jobstreet and other employment agencies? Which dip you're in? Try to grab you have other certs while working around part-time jobs, to boost your skills and portfolio. I take ALOT of part-time jobs, courses before getting one decent job. Not easy and not difficult, but it's a positive way to embrace the job market you know :)

I believe, in some advise, you should also try to take other languages as a "plus point" when you taking part-time jobs while waiting for permanent one. Market is normally competitive, so try to opt for some plus points to boost you chances for employment. Be somebody okay :)

Hi Intuitive....

It might be useful to know what dip u take? is it your passion? if its not, then what exactly is your passion? What do u like to do and u will enjpy doing for the rest of your life. if u havent decide on that, then what are u good at?
if u dont know that either, then i suggest u try part time like Fariz suggested. From there, you will learn more about yourself. You will know wat u like and wat exactly suits you or what are you good at. My sis for example has a dip in accounting but after working for few months, she didnt like it and quit. she went for another diploma. it took her a very long time but she enjoys working in the hotel line and although her starting pay is low and she has to struggle alot, she i shappy and satisfied that she is doing what she likes.

As for me, its been my passion to be a teacher and i worked hard for it. Im only 20 and im already teaching in a primary school. but before this i have alot of part time jobs too and it really helped me in my current profession.

U reall need to know what drives you or motivate you. i believe that there is a job for each person that matches up with his God-given talent. so think about it....what is your talent...

Dont ever give up...keep trying ok? U have to have faith in yourself before your employer can have faith in you. all the best!

Hi Jannah14,

Thanks for your encouragement. I am 22 coming to 23 this January my goodness..I am scared that if I don't get a job my relatives will force me to get married..just joking.
Yup I need to get a part-time job asap if not future employer will ask me "what have you been doing for that 1year unemployed?" then I don't know how to answer for it.

Honestly I do not know what God-given talent I have. I know what I like to do and that is to design in photoshop etc but that is only a hobby. And I like cats.

I am the eldest in the family and I do not know where to get part-time job really...

Hi intuitive...

You can always check up in straits time classified or even online. there's lots of jobs out there. or try the job fair. it will be good for you cos you can explore and find out more about jobs available. u can also try to venture in the design career? if u have interest, u will work hard for it and u wil enjoy your work

u can try to give tuition in the meantime? or wat about relief teaching?.

hi Jannah14,

I admire you alot because you are young and at just 20 years old you get a job that you are passionate alot.

Thank you for the suggestions. Yup I regularly check online like Jobsdb.com and jobstreet.com. I went to many agencies before and I have once went to Jobsfair at expo. I am thinking about going to same one again next week with my sister. I am very introvert person and I am quite blurr so that might have hinder me from getting a job. I am not good at working with children (very shy even ard chidlren) so to give tuition is out of the question for me.

I have been thinking about what you have posted regarding having passion/interest for something and what I really would like to do is to set up online shop selling Muslimah clothes, broches etc. This way I get to design my website creatively and get to sell beautiful clothings.
This is my interest really.

For right now I am going to get a job 1st and when I earn enough money I will get into online business.

Down the road I might set up Muslim hair saloon because they aren't really that many haircut places in the neighbourhood for Muslimahs. We had to go far away just to get a haircut.

Hi intuitive...thanks about that.

Anyway, another small suggestion or opinion rather..
Its good that you at least you know what u want. thast a start. A big step. if y9ou have the determination then im sure you will succeed one day. It takes effort and time but you have to stay strong and determined. being an introvert doesnt mean you cant be successful. it may be harder but no harm trying right?

You dont have to have lots of money to start an online business. in fact you can already satrt with the planning, research and all..you can start small and try things out. Lets just say, u started working part time and u want to save up to start a business. you will be so engrossed in working and saving up..and most of the time, u always have something else to do or to pay. these are the challenges you will face and u will end up not saving. And if lets say, u did manage to save up enough, how long did it take you? years maybe? then when you have enough, do u stil have that fire or passion in you to start a business? only then wil u have to start your research and planning and that takes time too... Well its just my opnion the rest is still up to you.
Will always wish u the best and dont ever give up!

Hi StressOut, you didn't mention what diploma you have.
If you interested in hair dressing, mendaki has a programme. See my reply here http://www.nasibriyanilounge.c...

Oh and by the way, you really have to slowly come out of your shell. Don't let you shyness hinder you from success else you might end up rotting in your shell !
About getting a job, you can also approach your CDC for help. Try all channels.

All the best
